Running toilet and a high water bill
A toilet that refills on its own or hisses after a flush is leaking water from the tank into the bowl. It adds up on the water bill without you ever seeing a puddle. We test the tank and replace what is worn.
Toilet Installation and Repair
A toilet that runs all night, leaks at the base, rocks on the floor, or clogs every week usually has a clear cause. We repair what can be repaired, replace what cannot, and install new toilets, including for an added bathroom. Our shop is on Apex Pkwy, and we give you the real price before we start.

Toilet Repair and Installation
Most toilet calls are one of these six. Tell us which one sounds like yours and we will tell you what it usually takes.
A toilet that refills on its own or hisses after a flush is leaking water from the tank into the bowl. It adds up on the water bill without you ever seeing a puddle. We test the tank and replace what is worn.
A flapper that no longer seals and a fill valve that will not shut off cause most running toilets. If the flush valve seat itself is pitted, a new flapper will not hold, and we replace the flush valve instead of going back and forth.
Water around the bottom of the toilet usually means the wax ring has failed. A slow leak soaks the subfloor, so stop using the toilet and call. We reset it on a new seal and check the floor underneath.
A toilet that rocks has loose bolts, an uneven floor, or a flange that has broken or sunk below the finished floor. Rocking breaks the seal, so we repair the flange when it is the cause and set the toilet solid.
One clog is normal. A toilet that clogs every few days may have a weak flush, or a partial blockage farther down. If other drains gurgle too, see [drain cleaning in Apex](/drain-cleaning-apex-nc). We sort out which it is before replacing anything.
Many 1990s and 2000s Apex homes still have the original low, weak-flushing toilet. We install comfort-height, efficient models and set them level on a new seal. Adding a bathroom or a half bath means a new toilet connected to the drain and supply, and we handle that plumbing too.
Clear Answers
Running, leaking, rocking, or clogging, and whether other fixtures are affected. If you are replacing it, tell us whether you have a toilet picked out. We give you an arrival window and the price before work begins.
We test the tank parts, check the seal and flange at the floor, and look at the shutoff valve. If the problem points past the toilet, we say so.
We explain the options, do the work, replace a tired shutoff valve in the same visit if needed, and flush and check for leaks before we leave.
Apex Bathrooms
Apex grew fast through the 1990s and 2000s, and subdivisions like Abbington, Woodcreek, Salem Village, and Haddon Hall are full of the original builder-grade toilets. Those toilets sit low, flush weakly, and have tank parts that were never top quality. Swapping to a comfort-height, efficient model is one of the simplest upgrades in a bathroom, and it usually fixes the repeat clogs that come with an old weak flush.
Mineral buildup from town water, which comes from Jordan Lake, wears flappers and fill valves over the years. Clay soil can also shift a slab or a crawlspace floor enough to loosen a toilet, and a loose toilet breaks its wax seal. Newer neighborhoods such as Bella Casa and Seagroves Farm have their own pattern: builder-grade fixtures now ten or more years old. For a bathroom you are adding in a finished house, we plan the drain and supply before the walls close.

Commercial Service
Commercial restrooms get used all day, and a toilet that is out of service is a problem for the whole business. We repair and install them and work around your hours.
Flush valves, fill valves, wax rings, and leaks at the base in office, retail, and restaurant restrooms.
Replacing worn toilets, including accessible-height models, in business and church restrooms.
When one toilet keeps stopping up, we look at the flush and the line behind it before swapping parts.
Helpful Details
The usual cause is a worn flapper that no longer seals, or a fill valve that does not shut off at the right level. Both wear out with age and the minerals in the water. Replacing the part usually stops it.
It depends on whether it is a repair or a replacement, the toilet you choose, the shutoff valve, and what we find at the flange and floor. We tell you the price before we start and nothing is done until you approve it. Call (919) 679-1275.
Often, yes, or a loose toilet or a leaking supply connection. Sometimes it is condensation from the tank, and we can tell the difference on site. A leak at the base can soften the subfloor, so have it checked soon.
Usually. We reset the toilet, shim or repair the base as needed, and replace the wax seal. If the flange is broken or sunk below the floor, we repair the flange so the toilet sits solid.
If it flushes weakly, clogs often, or needs repeated parts, replacement is often the better call. We install comfort-height and efficient models, and tell you honestly when a repair is all it needs.
Yes. We run the drain and supply for the new toilet and set it. We pull permits where the town requires them, and the work is inspected where required.
