The faucet drips or the pressure is low
A steady drip usually points to a worn cartridge or seal. Low pressure at one faucet often means a clogged aerator or a failing cartridge. We find which it is and repair or replace the faucet accordingly.
Residential Sink and Faucet Service
A dripping faucet, a disposal that hums and will not spin, or a new sink going into a remodel all come down to the same thing: clean connections and parts that fit. We repair, replace, and install, and we tell you plainly which one makes sense.

Kitchen and Bathroom Fixtures
Most sink problems start small. A faucet drips, water pressure fades, or something under the cabinet is damp. We check the fixture, the supply lines, the shutoff valves, and the drain below it, because the visible symptom is not always where the trouble is.
For faucet repair, we look at cartridge wear, worn seals, and mineral buildup before recommending a new faucet. Sometimes a repair is the honest answer. When the faucet is old or the parts are no longer practical, we replace it and leave the connections tight and dry.
Sink installation is a bigger job, especially undermount sinks that go in with new countertops. The sink, the countertop cutout, and the plumbing all have to line up, so the order of work matters. We coordinate with your countertop installer so water is back on without surprises.
Bring your own fixtures if you like. Homeowner-supplied faucets, sinks, and disposals are fine, and we will tell you up front if a part will not fit or needs an adapter. We serve homes in Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
Under-sink problems tend to get worse quietly. A small drip or a slow drain is easier to fix before it damages the cabinet floor.
A steady drip usually points to a worn cartridge or seal. Low pressure at one faucet often means a clogged aerator or a failing cartridge. We find which it is and repair or replace the faucet accordingly.
A humming disposal that will not spin is often jammed and can sometimes be reset. Water leaking from the bottom of the unit usually means a failed seal inside, and that unit needs to be replaced, not repaired.
Countertop installers need the sink and faucet disconnected before they arrive, and reconnected after. If you are installing an undermount sink, plan the plumbing around that schedule. We handle both ends so the kitchen is usable again.
Clear Answers
Let us know the symptom or the project, the fixtures involved, and whether you are supplying your own faucet, sink, or disposal. Photos of the cabinet and the old fixture help.
We look at the fixture, supply lines, shutoff valves, and the drain below it. Worn parts that would cause a repeat problem get flagged before we start.
We explain the options, do the work, and run the water to check for leaks at every connection before we leave.
Sweetwater Plumbing serves homeowners in Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
Helpful Details
Yes. Homeowner-supplied fixtures are fine. We will tell you before we start if a part will not fit your sink, your cabinet, or your existing connections, so you are not left with a half-finished job.
If the faucet is in good shape and the leak is a worn cartridge or seal, repair is often enough. If the faucet is corroded, the finish is failing, or parts are hard to find, replacement makes more sense. We will tell you which applies.
Not always. A hum usually means it is jammed, and a reset or clearing the jam may get it running. If it trips repeatedly, will not turn at all, or leaks from the bottom of the unit, replacement is the better call.
Know the sink and faucet you are installing, and confirm the cabinet and cutout size with your countertop installer. Clear the cabinet under the sink. Plan for the plumbing to be disconnected before the countertop crew arrives and reconnected afterward.
Yes. Old braided lines and stiff or leaking shutoff valves are common reasons for under-sink leaks. We usually replace them during a faucet or disposal installation, since the work is already open. For an active leak, see our leak repair page.
Yes. We hook up dishwasher water and drain connections, and refrigerator or ice maker water lines. If a slow drain under the sink is the real issue, see our drain cleaning page. We can also check the P-trap while we are there.
