New sink with a counter replacement
Replacing the countertop means the sink comes out and goes back in. We disconnect before the countertop crew arrives and reconnect after the top is set, so you are not washing dishes in the bathroom for long.
Kitchen and Bathroom Sink Service
A new sink going in with the countertops, a drain basket that drips into the cabinet, or a kitchen sink that drains slowly: this is everyday kitchen plumbing repair for us, and our shop is right here on Apex Pkwy. We tell you what is wrong, give you the real price before we start, and test every connection before we leave.

Kitchen and Bath Sink Plumbing
Most sink calls fit one of these six. Tell us which sounds like yours and we will tell you what the fix usually involves.
Replacing the countertop means the sink comes out and goes back in. We disconnect before the countertop crew arrives and reconnect after the top is set, so you are not washing dishes in the bathroom for long.
A new sink is rarely the same depth or bowl layout as the old one. The drain outlet lands somewhere new, so the trap arm and tailpiece often have to be re-plumbed to fit. An undermount also has to be lined up from below. We plan the plumbing around the sink you picked.
A drip under the sink usually comes from a worn basket gasket, a loose slip nut, or a cracked trap. We replace the failed parts and check the supply lines while the cabinet is open.
Grease and soap scum build up close to the trap and slow the sink long before it stops. We clear it and look at the line behind it. If it keeps coming back, see [drain cleaning in Apex](/drain-cleaning-apex-nc) for the deeper options.
The dishwasher drain and the disposal both tie in at the sink, and a bad connection shows up as water in the cabinet or a dishwasher that backs up into the sink. We set the hookups correctly. For the disposal itself, see our [garbage disposal service in Apex](/garbage-disposal-installation-repair-apex-nc).
Vanity sinks, laundry room utility sinks, and garage or basement sinks all get the same treatment: new faucets, drains, and stop valves, and a check for water damage under the cabinet before we close it back up.
Clear Answers
Which sink, what it is doing, and whether you are supplying the sink, faucet, or disposal. Photos of the cabinet help. We give you an arrival window and the price before work begins.
We look at the fixture, the supply lines, the stop valves, the drain below, and the cabinet floor. Soft or stained wood under the sink tells us how long a leak has been going.
We explain the options, do the work, and run the water to check every connection for leaks before we leave.
Apex Kitchens and Baths
Apex has everything from the historic homes around Salem Street to 1990s subdivisions like Abbington, Woodcreek, and Salem Village, and newer neighborhoods such as Bella Casa and Seagroves Farm. In the 1990s and 2000s homes, the original faucets, stop valves, and drain assemblies are now old enough to stick, weep, or crack the moment someone touches them. When we set a sink we usually replace the stop valves and supply lines too: the cabinet is open and the old ones tend to fail on the way out.
Kitchen updates are the usual reason for a new sink. The counters change, the sink changes, and the drain has to meet the new bowl. Tell us the sink model and the countertop installer's date and we will line up our visit with theirs. Homes built roughly 1978 to 1995 can also have polybutylene supply piping, so if we see gray plastic lines under your sink we will tell you what we found and what your options are. Water damage under a cabinet is common after a slow drain leak, and we check for it before closing things up.

Helpful Details
It depends on the sink and what is wrong: a drain repair, a new sink, an undermount, re-plumbing the drain to fit, a disposal, or old valves that need replacing. We tell you the price before we start and nothing is done until you approve it. Call (919) 679-1275 or send photos and we will scope it.
Yes. We disconnect the old sink before the countertop crew arrives and reconnect after the top is set. Give us the sink model and the install date and we will schedule around it.
Often, yes. A new bowl rarely puts the drain outlet in the same spot, so the trap and tailpiece usually need to be adjusted. An undermount also has to be aligned from below with the cutout. Check the cutout size with your countertop installer, and we will connect it.
Dry the cabinet, then run each part in turn: the faucet, then the drain, then the dishwasher. The water shows where it comes from. Common sources are a worn basket gasket, a loose slip nut, a cracked trap, or a dishwasher or disposal connection. We trace it and fix the cause.
Yes. We look at the cabinet floor and the wall behind it while the sink is apart. If the wood is soft or stained, we tell you what we see so you can decide what to do about it.
We pull permits where the town requires them. A faucet or drain repair usually does not need one, and we confirm what your job needs when we scope it.
