Leaking drain basket or P-trap
A drip under the sink usually comes from a loose slip nut, a worn drain basket gasket, or a cracked trap. We replace the failed parts and check the supply lines and stop valves while the cabinet is open.

Sink Repair and Installation
Most sink calls are one of these six. Tell us which one sounds like yours and we will tell you what it usually takes.
A drip under the sink usually comes from a loose slip nut, a worn drain basket gasket, or a cracked trap. We replace the failed parts and check the supply lines and stop valves while the cabinet is open.
Grease and food build up close to the trap and slow the drain. We clear the line and look at why it clogged. If it keeps coming back or the whole house is slow, see [drain cleaning](/drain-cleaning).
A drop-in sits on the counter and is simple to connect. An undermount hangs from below, so the drain, faucet holes, and disposal have to line up with the cutout. We disconnect before the countertop crew arrives and reconnect after.
Slow drains, leaking pop-ups, loose faucets, and a vanity swapped for a new one all come down to the drain, the supply lines, and the stop valves. We set the plumbing to the new vanity and test it.
Garage and laundry sinks, dishwasher drain lines, and a disposal tied into the same trap need to be connected the right way. We install the drain and supplies so the dishwasher does not back up into the sink.
A swollen cabinet floor or a musty smell means the leak has been going a while. We stop the leak and tell you what we see. Repairing the cabinet itself is a carpenter's job.
Clear Answers
Which sink, what it is doing, and whether you are supplying your own sink or faucet. Photos of the cabinet help. We give you an arrival window and the price before work begins.
We look at the fixture, the supply lines, the stop valves, and the drain below. Worn parts that would cause a repeat problem get flagged before we start.
We explain the options, do the work, and run the water to check every connection for leaks before we leave.
Raleigh Kitchens and Baths
Raleigh has many older homes, especially in Central Raleigh and inside the Beltline. In pre-1970s houses, the drain under the sink may be cast iron or galvanized steel. These corrode from the inside, narrow over the years, and clog or leak at the joints. When we open a cabinet and find one, we tell you what condition it is in and what your options are before we touch it.
In North Raleigh, many homes were built in the 1980s and 1990s, and their original sink drains, stop valves, and supply lines are now at the end of their life. Kitchen and bathroom updates are common, and a new countertop is the usual trigger. Tell us the sink model and the countertop date and we will line our visit up with theirs. Homes from roughly 1978 to 1995 may also have polybutylene supply piping, so if we see gray plastic lines under your sink we will tell you what we found.

Helpful Details
It depends on the sink and what is wrong: a drain or trap repair, a new fixture, an undermount cutout, a disposal, or old valves and lines that need replacing. We tell you the price before we start and nothing is done until you approve it. Call (919) 679-1275.
Sinks are plumbing. Drains, traps, supply lines, stop valves, and disposals are our daily work. We repair the cause, not just the drip, and we tell you if the cabinet needs a carpenter.
Yes. We disconnect the old sink before the countertop crew arrives and reconnect after the top is set. Give us the sink model and the install date. For an undermount, check the cutout size with your countertop installer first.
Dry the cabinet, then run each part: the faucet, then the drain. The water shows where it is coming from. Common sources are a loose drain nut, a cracked trap, a worn faucet seal, or a weeping stop valve. We trace it and repair the cause.
Often, yes. Grease near the trap clogs it first. In an older home with cast-iron or galvanized drain pipe, rough pipe walls catch more. If it keeps coming back, we can look at the line with a camera.
Yes. Restaurants, salons, and offices have the same sink problems and need them fixed around business hours. Call (919) 679-1275 and tell us when you are open.
